Tapestry of Nations was a parade at the Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, that ran around the World Showcase Lagoon from 1999 to 2001, after which it was rethemed as Tapestry of Dreams. Each year more than 1,000 people attend the festival to dance, eat great food and connect with their neighbors. The Flute solo in the beginning is optional. "Tapestry of Nations" forms around Epcot World Showcase in three sections, each led by the Sage of Time -- a stilt-walking performer clad in a massive silver cloak who symbolizes the indomitable human spirit. The parade had a unity and world peace theme and featured a variety of large puppets and massive rotating drum units. We've already covered several songs on the countdown from the Millennium Celebration including Promise, We Go On, and Reflections of Earth, and my #1 song is from the Tapestry of Nations, a 20 minute long twilight parade through World Showcase.
