Summary of Batteries for each Mentioned Optics I love it for its speed with its large 68 MOA circle and a precise 1 MOA center dot. The Reticle is a 65 MOA ring with 1 MOA focal point or a 65 MOA ring with 2 points the objective 1 MOA. With this different fundamentals, the EXPS3 can’t compete with the other 2 optics in terms of battery longevity. It’s expected battery life is only 600 hours. Also the device i received was suppose to be an EXPS3-0 which is a 65 MOA with 1 center dot. Battery Life: Classic is more with 1000 hours with lithium batteries or 600 with regular alkaline compared with 600 hours of the newer version; Reticle. But until then the EOTech EXPS still wins with the one extra benefit that no other has. The increased height of the EXPS creates a lower 1/3 cowitness with iron sights. Power Source: One 123 lithium battery; Battery Life: 600 continuous hours at nominal setting 12 at room temp. On my 50 Beowulf I used the AA battery model with no rear sight, mounted to the flat top. Like all of its sights, you’ll get truly unbeatable battery life with the Aimpoint. I put the N battery model on my Colt with a Larue Tactical mount and a flip up rear sight. It should be noted that Eotech models such as the 516 or 553, require the use of two CR123 batteries, bumping up the lifespan of a single set of batteries to 1100 hours at level 12 brightness. Features: Quick-detach lever compatible with 1” Weaver and MIL-SPEC Picatinny rails; Powered by (1) CR123A lithium battery

The EOTech is definitely a more intensive product. The numbers reflect the number of the buttons on the side of the sight. Maybe one day in the future we’ll get an EXPS with a battery life of 50k hours that weighs under 10oz, who knows. You have to manage it more than an Aimpoint. If you turn on/adjust the optic with the up arrow brightness setting, the auto shut off is 8 hours.

If you don’t ever want to worry about your battery, then you should go with the Aimpoint. That makes it easier to reduce the length of the scope, making it even more compact, with an average life of 600 hours.

The Eotech will give you just 600 hours. Ah…the famous EOTech reticle. The EOTech XPS is the direct result of user feedback and is a natural advancement from the EOTech Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS) line. * Typical battery life at brightness level 12 is roughly 600 hours, this is three times the battery life of N cell sights * Reticle: 65MOA circle with 1 MOA aiming dot The XPS3 is Night Vision compatible, for non-Night Vision compatible units see the XPS2 sights. The unit is powered by a CR123A lithium battery with a battery life of 1,000 hours.

Country of Origin: Made in USA: Warranty: EOTECH guarantees every product to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of ten (10) years from the manufacturer’s date or customer’s proof of purchase. EOTech XPS3 Features The EXPS3-0 holographic sight uses the CR123 model battery. The battery had to be entered with positive on the inside of the device instead of being towards the battery door like on a real EOTECH.

The waterproof and fogproof design will withstand tough environments and perform in any tactical environment and with the average battery life being between 500 to 600 hours, you can be sure the EOTech EXPS 3 Holographic Weapon Sight is ready for action at any moment, whether day or night. Critics of previous EOTech models cited a problem with the battery compartment, as it was in line with the recoil of the weapon and would cause issues with the connectivity of the battery after heavy use.
