The river Deveron is situated in North East Scotland within the counties of Aberdeenshire and Banffshire and has an overall catchment area of 1266 km² and a length of 96kms (61 miles). It is a river of big fish and each season brings in some fish in the 30lbs (13.6Kg) class. There are usually good summer and autumn runs of salmon, with the heavier fish being caught towards the end of the season. This most attractive stretch of river offers excellent salmon, sea trout qnd brown trout fishing. The river Deveron due to its more illustrious North East neighbours the Dee and Spey is a well kept secret where anglers return year after year, generation after generation..
