After the battle has cleared, i assume the stage is set for the first time you enter the blue palace and that farmer mentions Wolfskull Cave which triggers the quest to become thane. The Blue Palace is locked (though I can break in). I usually follow an npc after a quest out of curiosity. The Battle of Solitude was the final major battle of the Skyrim Civil War. Solitude still has the combat music playing whenever I'm there, the icon for Solitude doesn't show up on my map for fast travel, and when I run up there I get a message when I go in the gate that I have to "complete defence of the city".

Has anyone here followed Ulfric all the way to his destination I would really like to know where he is.
