We visited the cave on the same day that we did Melissani Lake and Sami on a day trip from the southern coast of Kefelonia. The Melissani cave is a beautiful natural cave and worth a visit. The water is cold, only 15 Celsius Degrees. It was beautiful. ( need reasonable shoes, water, and sun cream ) Next destination is the famous and colorful Melissani lake dedicated to the nymphs, and ancient Greek God Panas.

The lake is small but the colour of the water is unjust lovely. Not in the caves itself but I understand that there are "Melissani Lakes" nearby where you can swim. There are steps going down to the lake where you board a boat rowed by a local.
