They squeeze liquid soap and water from pouches onto their skin. On the ISS, astronauts do not shower but rather use liquid soap, water, and rinseless shampoo. Then they use rinseless soap with a little water to clean their hair. Regardless of whether you're in your living room or orbiting thousands of miles above Earth, when nature calls, you have to listen.But when you're in zero gravity, something as simple as going to the bathroom can turn into a major challenge.It's disgusting to even contemplate what might happen if an astronaut in space tried to use and flush a regular toilet. They use towels to wipe off the excess water. An airflow system nearby quickly evaporates excess water.
