It proved to be their last; a meeting two years later to record a new album ended with the breakup of the band. She could sing the ingredients on a box of Everything seemed to come together for them musically on this album, it just flowed so masterfully. As such, after the release of their eighth album, ‘Milk And Kisses’, in 1996, The Cocteau Twins disbanded a year later. When, after years of hiding within invention, Fraser finally asked to be heard, she sang the words she needed to hear.
